Job summary

Scott AFB Lodging Facility is seeking a maintenance worker to perform a range of electrical, plumbing, and general repair tasks. The role involves working with power tools, reading schematics, and maintaining a variety of household and facility systems on a mostly inside site.

The position is non-appropriated funding (NAF) under Morale, Welfare and Recreation, with flexible 0-40 hours per week and shift coverage including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have general repair and maintenance experience in various areas including plumbing, painting, and plastering.
• Specialized experience in electrical/electronic maintenance requiring test equipment like meters or similar instruments.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools and read schematics/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and ceiling fans with kits as needed.
• Inspect and repair electrical appliances and components using testing equipment.
• Perform plumbing maintenance, including copper pipes or PVC components replacement.
• Read schematics and wire equipment per diagrams; install or connect water sources where needed.
