Job summary

Avient Corporation seeks a Maintenance Technician in Georgia to perform maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year degree or 4–5 year apprenticeship in electrical tech, 3+ years in manufacturing, and 460V experience. Benefits include day-one medical, vacations, 401(k) with match, and a bi-annual bonus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4–5 year traditional apprenticeship or 2-year associate degree in electrical tech/electromechanical systems preferred.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3+ years 460V electrical experience required.
• Ability to read safety and maintenance documents; basic math and unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance projects with minimal guidance to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical assemblies (pumps, conveyors, motors, compressors).
• Wire and connect control panels, transformers, and electrical systems per blueprints.
• Use testing tools to diagnose faults and ensure safety standards.
• Assist with PLC troubleshooting and electromechanical components.
