SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician, Electrical, conducts daily electrical maintenance activities, ensuring safe, quality work practices and maximizing equipment availability across the facility. Key Responsibilities

1. Demonstrate a proactive safety attitude at all times, following safe work practices, adhering to lifesaving rules, and complying with permitting processes.
2. Maintain a focus on safety and well-being, leading by example to foster a positive safety culture among apprentices and contractors.
3. Communicate effectively with other departments, including Engineering, Operations, Safety, Procurement, Training, Planning, Vendors, and Contractors, promoting a One-Team approach.
4. Support and review preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
5. Review maintenance documentation such as work instructions, job safety analyses, permits, and redlined documents.
6. Assist in electrical maintenance activities, including breakdowns, corrective actions, and preventive maintenance.
7. Support turnaround activities as needed.
8. Ensure safe and high-quality completion of all activities.
9. Fulfill Permit Holder responsibilities for work execution at RGLNG.
10. Maintain personal training and competency compliance.
11. Participate in maintenance meetings, HSSE meetings, pre-starts, and tailgate sessions.

Minimum Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. At least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in a hydrocarbon or petrochemical facility.
3. Licensed electrician qualification in Texas or ability to obtain it per TDLR requirements.
4. Low Voltage Rescue and Resuscitation certification.
5. Qualifications in NEC Electrical Equipment inspections and repairs in Hazardous Areas.
6. Ability to interpret engineering drawings such as P&IDs, ISO diagrams, GA drawings, logic diagrams, and control narratives.
7. Experience testing and inspecting Safety Critical Elements (SCE).
8. Proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP or similar).
9. Experience in maintaining critical procedures and understanding the Management of Change (MOC) process.
10. Experience during turnarounds maintenance activities.
11. Proficiency in electrical fault diagnosis, lighting maintenance, MCC maintenance, and disconnection/reconnection procedures.
12. Experience with high- and medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, and backup power systems.
13. Proficiency in low-voltage system maintenance and electrical Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
14. Ability to support electrical needs in commercial buildings.
15. Extensive experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
16. Ability to write and review work instructions.
17. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
19. Hands-on work approach.
20. Ability to obtain TWIC credentials.

Job Site Work Environment

* Must wear PPE as required.

* Work in a complex construction environment with exposure to weather, mechanical parts, electrical circuits, and noise.

* Use standard communication equipment.

* Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting up to 20 lbs, walking, standing, and working at heights or in confined spaces.

* Visual acuity and communication skills required.
