Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carrollton, TX to perform installation, general maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and plant systems. The role covers preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of related maintenance experience, with strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, and a background in manufacturing environments. On-site role with potential overtime.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program is a plus.
Degree or certificate in a maintenance or technical field is a plus.
Requires 3-5 years of related maintenance experience (electrical and mechanical).
Practical experience with manufacturing, assembly, and welding equipment.
Preventive Maintenance systems knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical components of machinery and equipment.
Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair parts or fabricate tools.
Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or PLC-controlled systems.
Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and test machinery.
Listen for unusual sounds to diagnose problems and discuss operation variations with supervisors.
Repair faulty equipment or dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.
