Georgia-Pacific in Zachary, LA is hiring a Maintenance Technician - E&I to apply technical, analytical and coordination skills to improve reliability of our manufacturing systems.
You will maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, process controls, electrical, instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and support projects to minimize downtime. The role requires lifting, safety adherence, and potential weekend/overtime in a fast-paced mill environment.
Our Georgia‑Pacific mill in Zachary, LA. has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - E & I. This position will provide an opportunity for an individual to utilize their technical, analytical, troubleshooting and coordination skills to improve the reliability of our manufacturing systems.
$46.35 per hour
Maintenance supports a Monday through Thursday shift 6:30am -5:00pm they also support the rotating 12-hour shift. Rotating shifts are 5:30-5:30 4 on 4 off with 2 days/2 nights each shift.
Located just north of Baton Rouge, LA and west of Zachary, LA, the Port Hudson mill employs about 350 people and has two tissue/towel paper machines and produces consumer tissue products such as bath tissue and paper towels sold under the Georgia‑Pacific brand names of Quilted Northern and Brawny. The paper machines are state of the art for manufacturing of premium tissue paper. The Gulf Coast is only an hour away. There is plenty of history in the area to explore as well. For urban activities, Baton Rouge and New Orleans are just a short drive away.
