Job summary

Amcor is seeking a general maintenance technician to support plastic film production. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, and collaborate with the maintenance team to keep lines running.

The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving, good attendance, and a safety-first mindset. Evening/weekend overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Vocational education in Electrical or Mechanical (two areas)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on aptitude
• Good attendance and safety-first mindset
• Willingness to advance skill levels toward Level II and beyond

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, mechanical, or PLC and controls programming.
• Diagnose root causes of equipment malfunctions and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints, diagrams, and manuals as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities performed.
• Follow all plant safety policies and procedures; maintain zero-recordable-accident standard.
• Maintain consistent attendance to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members and supervisors to support production uptime.
