Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems, equipment, and facilities at Westfield South Center. The role focuses on troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues in a mall environment.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience, can work independently in a fast-paced setting, and is proficient in changing ballasts and light bulbs, patching, sanding, and painting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of similar work experience required.
• Proficiency in changing ballasts and light bulbs.
• Skilled in patching, sanding, and painting.
• Familiarity with hand tools and general maintenance tasks.
• Comfortable working in a mall environment and walking throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of restroom and breakroom plumbing fixtures.
• Clearing drains by plunger and hand-held auger.
• General labor such as carrying, stacking, organizing materials used on the job site.
• Debris and trash removal not part of janitorial contract or scope of work.
• Repairs and cleaning of HVAC registers, radiators return grills.
• Minor repairs of furniture.
• Maintaining and/or replacing door hardware.
• Repair / replacement of venetian blinds.
• Maintenance painting in mechanical and electrical rooms.
• Touch up painting in building common areas.
• Touch up painting in tenant spaces when authorized by property management.
• General cleaning in mechanical spaces.
• General cleaning of exterior entry spaces using cleaning devices.
