Job description

2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Salary: $27.90/hr. starting, with increases every 6 months to a maximum of $35.00/hr within three years.

General Summary: Support manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime, increasing productivity, and maintaining compliance with the Toyota Production System and company policies.

II. Essential Job Functions:

  1. Support maintenance activities on production equipment, facilities, and utility systems to ensure reliable operation.
  2. Perform predictive and preventive maintenance in collaboration with production management.
  3. Conduct general building maintenance.
  4. Oversee machinery in the Automatic Assembly, Stamping Press, Coating (Painting), and Automatic Logistics areas.
  5. Manage machine uptime and downtime.
  6. Support Kaizen initiatives and related activities.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Industrial Maintenance Associate's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in robotics tuning, electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication.

Personal/Technical Skills:

  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Mandatory overtime availability.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

IV. Work Environment/Conditions:

Automotive manufacturing plant.

Travel: 0-10%.

V. Physical Demands:

Ability to talk, see, hear, walk, sit, and stand. Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
