Job summary

Echo Lake Foods in Burlington, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment, including conveyors and hydraulic systems, to keep operations safe and efficient.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in industrial maintenance, proficiency with AC/DC motors and VFDs, ability to read schematics and blueprints, and strong communication and teamwork to support GMPs and continuous improvement on

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the industrial maintenance field.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing high-speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience working with AC/DC motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Knowledge of piping systems and mechanical components.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to operate drilling and milling machines.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently, including conveyor systems, hydraulic sorting equipment, motors, electrical systems, and facility equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair documentation and logs.
  • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with GMPs and Company safety policies and procedures.

Hours:6:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently, including conveyor systems, hydraulic sorting equipment, motors, electrical systems, and facility equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.

  • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the industrial maintenance field, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing high-speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience working with AC/DC motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Knowledge of piping systems and mechanical components.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to operate drilling and milling machines to produce or retool mechanical parts.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leadership.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and power/hand tools.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including cold temperature conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
