Job summary

Borja Engineering & Construction is seeking a professional Custodian with strong maintenance experience to join our facilities team in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on daily cleaning, schedule management, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards.

You will train staff, perform site upkeep including groundskeeping, report issues to maintenance, and handle light landscaping tasks. Candidates should be able to operate cleaning equipment and lift modest loads.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role preferred.
• Experience providing cleaning/maintenance services for organizations preferred.
• Comfortable using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Comfortable using landscaping and handyman tools as needed.
• Excellent management and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency with scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and update housekeeping schedules as needed.
• Daily cleaning of restrooms and break areas.
• Assist in training janitorial staff as needed.
• Ensure company cleaning standards are met consistently.
• Perform deep cleaning as scheduled.
• Organize and maintain stock of supplies.

Job Summary

We are looking for a professional Custodian with strong maintenance experience to join our team. Focusing on task at hand and quality control is critical. Managing workflow is a daily challenge. Ability to drive a golf or utility cart.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and updating housekeeping schedules as needed
• Daily cleaning of restrooms, break areas
• Assistance in training all janitorial staff as needed
• Ensuring company cleaning standards are consistently met
• Needed in cleaning according to company and standards
• Work on deep cleanings as scheduled
• Organizing and maintaining the stock of supplies responsibly
• Work site maintenance to include groundskeeping and minor landscaping
• Reporting maintenance issues to the maintenance department and/or management

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar position is preferred
• Prior experience providing cleaning and/or maintenance services for companies or organizations is preferred
• Comfortable using industrial cleaning equipment and products
