Job summary

TradeWorX in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support commercial buildings across the area. The role demands hands-on expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems with a focus on safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial building maintenance experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and electronic work orders.
• Building Engineer Certification (NIULPE or equivalent) required.
• At least one specialty certification required (HVAC, electrical, boiler, refrigeration, or related).
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with strong communication, customer service, and independent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Lead preventative maintenance programs, building inspections, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose complex building system issues and implement effective, long-term repairs.
• Complete work orders, maintain accurate service records, and identify needed repairs or improvements.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, purchase orders, and maintenance projects with Property Managers.
• Support water distribution, fire suppression, and building energy efficiency initiatives.
• Mentor junior maintenance technicians and provide professional service to tenants and property teams.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls, participate in on-call rotation, and follow OSHA safety standards.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA Pay: $70, 000-$80, 000 annually Schedule: Monday-Friday | On-Call Rotation Start Date: ASAP

Pay & Overtime

Pay: $70, 000-$80, 000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Overtime and on-call compensation details will be discussed during the hiring process.
