Summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems (including CNC Controls) by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs CNC controls and a variety of highly technical electronic equipment. This requires the ability to read and understand electronic schematics, use electronic diagnostic equipment, and communicate with manufacturer service technicians.
• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments, following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools; tests device performance after reassembly.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices; repairs or replaces defective parts; installs special functional and structural parts; lubricates and cleans parts; uses various tools to make and repair parts.
• Initiates purchase orders for parts and equipment.
• Adheres to all OSHA regulations, including confined spaces, LOTO, PPE, etc.
• Ability to work all shifts (including weekends) and on-call for plant emergencies.
• Maintains high ethical standards for self and others.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Training/Experience

• High school diploma/GED; with two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as machine drawings, electronic schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to diagnose issues with HMI, Drives, and power supplies to involve the next level tech.

Skills

Work Environment

The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, electrical shock risks, high places, chemicals, and outdoor weather. Noise levels are usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands

Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs. Requires standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Occasionally sitting and tasting/smelling.
