Job summary

Bauer Welding & Metal Fabricators in Mounds View, MN seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily operations in a 60,000 sq ft facility. You will repair and maintain CNC and manual fabrication equipment to optimize uptime, productivity, and safety.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting CNC/PLC controls, performing preventive maintenance, and adhering to LOTO and safety protocols. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills and experience with hydraulic/pneumatic

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Completed electrical/electronics technical training (certificate or equivalent).
Experience troubleshooting PLCs and automation systems.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints, schematics, and control diagrams.
Knowledge of CNC equipment (lasers, brakes, benders, mills).
Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Experience with welding equipment maintenance.
Basic fabrication skills and ability to modify parts.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair CNC and manual fabrication equipment to minimize downtime.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections.
Read and interpret mechanical/electrical prints and control diagrams.
Repair and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems; maintain PLCs.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to prioritize work.
Document maintenance activities in logs and software.
