Job summary

Dover Care Center – Exceptional Living Centers in Dover, TN is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to help keep the physical plant safe, clean and well maintained. You will perform repairs, address emergencies promptly, and assist with preventative maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; meets state and federal requirements.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds and perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repair services as needed, and as directed by supervisor.
• Promptly responds to emergency needs.
• Routinely assists with preventative maintenance.
• Assists with maintenance of lighting levels to support tasks and safety.
• Follows safety and reporting procedures; ensures proper documentation.
• Participates with the Maintenance Director in survey-related activities and information requests.
• Maintains current skills through ongoing training and in-service programs.
