Job summary

Team QLI in Omaha, NE is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to care for and maintain building systems and equipment.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and implement preventive maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks while ensuring safety and reliability. This full-time role includes on-call rotation, overtime, and opportunities to contribute to a mission-focused team that supports residents.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience is required.
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity.
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with other team members and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed safely and correctly.
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance around the buildings, e.g., window, door, or wall repair.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, replace or repair parts.
• Repairing plumbing to avoid water damage and restore fixtures.
• Maintaining HVAC equipment to keep climate control.
• Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce future problems.
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Painting interior and exterior walls.
• Using tools to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, or replace components.
• Assist groundskeeping team as needed.
• Proactively perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure standards.
• Collect and summarize maintenance information to drive efficiencies.
