Job summary

Continental Carbonic Products, Matheson is seeking Maintenance Technicians to support production equipment, monitor systems, and perform preventive maintenance in a 12-hour shift with alternating weekends off. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration to keep processes running smoothly.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree or equivalent, and at least 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or related certifications or training is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environments, preferably extrusion or compression with hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, mechanics, electrical systems and troubleshooting PLCs.
• Experience with robotics a plus; large ammonia refrigeration systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition to protect plant employees and visitors.
• Monitor production and process equipment for proper operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair from blueprints, manuals, or vendor specs.
• Adjust machines based on PLC displays and system diagnostics.
• Assist with installation, testing, and validation of new equipment.
• Follow Process Safety Management procedures and maintain records.
• Oversee equipment changeovers and report abnormalities.
• Assist training of manufacturing staff in proper equipment use.
• Keep repair areas organized and safe.
• Assist coworkers with production tasks as needed.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Continental Carbonic Products, Matheson
specializes in the manufacture and distribution of dry ice and liquid carbon
dioxide. The company is also the nation's largest distributor of dry ice
blasting equipment.
Continental Carbonic maintains a reliable
network of dry ice distribution facilities located strategically throughout its
service area. This integrated distribution network ensures that Continental
Carbonic can quickly react to customers' needs.
Continental Carbonic is looking for
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS. Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for
providing support to achieve optimal levels of productivity, quality, and
safety. A Maintenance Exam will be administered. This will be a 12-hour
shift (hours TBD), with every other weekend off.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition to help ensure the protection of all plant employees and visitors.
• Conduct continuous monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications.
• Recognize and perform machine adjustments to the various manufacturing machine systems
• Determining corrective actions based on operational and trouble messages provided by Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) Display Monitors or other similar display panels.
• Assisting with installation, testing, and validation of new production equipment.
• Understands, follows, and maintains proper records for Process Safety Management procedures and requirements.
• Conduct continuous monitoring of process and production equipment for proper operation.
• Participate in and oversee equipment changeovers as necessary.
• Notify management of any potential equipment issues or other noted abnormalities.
• Assist management in training manufacturing employees in the proper use of equipment.
• Maintain the organization of the Maintenance Repair Area and any other area where repair work is in progress.

Assist coworkers with production or other tasks as requested.

Compensation: $25.00-38.00

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or any other related certifications or training is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environments preferably within extrusions or compressions environments with hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, mechanics, electrical systems and troubleshooting PLCs
• Experience with robotics a plus
• Experience with large ammonia refrigeration systems would be a plus
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, employment history verification, and records check.
• A Maintenance Skill Level Exam will be administered to determine pay level.
