Job summary

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technicians to support Rising View, a large military housing community near Offutt AFB. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential systems to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of residential maintenance experience and HVAC certification. The position is full-time with a standard 8:30 AM–5:00 PM schedule, plus on-call rotation to address emergency

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of residential maintenance or related experience.
• HVAC certification is required.
• Experience in multifamily or residential housing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders and service requests in residential homes.
• Diagnose and repair a variety of residential maintenance issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, drywall, doors, carpentry, and other home systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to keep homes safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Inspect homes and identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues.
• Prepare homes for new residents and help ensure homes are move-in ready.
• Respond to resident concerns promptly and provide professional, courteous customer service.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of completed work.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and established maintenance standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance needs as assigned.
• Work independently while communicating effectively with the Property Management team regarding maintenance needs and priorities.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Schedule

Full‑Time | Monday‑Friday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM OR Tuesday‑Saturday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM | On-Call Rotation Required

The Successful Maintenance Technician Will

• Complete maintenance work orders and service requests in residential homes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of residential maintenance, construction, or related experience required.
• HVAC certification required.
• Previous multifamily or residential housing maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of residential building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general repairs.
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple work orders.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
• Dependable and willing to participate in an on‑call rotation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to constantly handle materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, reach, and work in various positions.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment required to perform maintenance work.
• Ability to perform hands‑on maintenance and repair work in residential homes.
• Ability to respond to emergency maintenance needs during scheduled on‑call periods.
