Job summary

Highlands Behavioral Health System, a 86-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Littleton, CO, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Tech to ensure a safe, clean environment for patients, staff and guests. You will handle grounds upkeep, routine building maintenance, inventory management, and readiness for events, while responding to alarms and maintaining logs.

The role requires HVAC, electrical and plumbing familiarity, tool use, and a valid Colorado driver’s license, with a focus on service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year in a hospital environment preferred.
• Valid Colorado driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains organization’s grounds and performs routine building maintenance tasks.
• Prepares facility for special functions.
• Responds promptly to alarms and codes.
• Keeps facility clean and safe for staff and guests.
• Manages ordering, delivery, and inventory of hospital supplies.
• Assists with inventory of patient belongings and maintenance logs.
• Delivers exceptional service to staff and visitors.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. One (1) year in a Hospital environment preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must have basic knowledge of H.V.A.C. equipment, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment and plant operations.
• Familiar use of hand and power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;
• Must be capable of adapting to varying workloads an work assignments on a constant basis;
• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a clear driving record, in order to drive hospital vehicles.
