We’re seeking a Maintenance Technician B who’s ready to be part of an innovative company delivering high-performance building solutions that simplify construction and ensure code compliance.
About the Role
The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
What You'll Accomplish
- Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine failure or issues and to identify required corrections or adjustments.
- Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace components while maintaining safety and production goals.
- Troubleshoot equipment to identify root causes and suggest appropriate follow-up actions.
- Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts.
- Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner.
- Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed.
- Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations.
- Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes.
- Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas; promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
What We’re Looking For
Education: High school diploma
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, power transmission (chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.), lubrication (oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.), hydraulics and pneumatics (valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.)
- Basic electrical knowledge: DC circuits (relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.) and AC circuits (120V to 480V) (motors, drives, transformers, etc.)
Additional Requirements: Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
