Transdev North America, Inc. in East Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced B-Level Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for our fleet. The role is full-time and requires ASE certifications and at least one year of experience.

You will mentor junior technicians and perform routine maintenance to keep operations efficient. Candidates must be able to work flexible shifts, pass a DOT drug screen, and contribute to a safety-focused work

Transdev in East Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced B-Level Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment. As a Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Non-CBA Position

• $30.80 / hour

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot issues.
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• 1 Year experience required
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
