Job summary

Transdev in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician B - (II) to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a variety of vehicles. You will work with A-Level mechanics and lead diagnostic tests to identify issues and plan comprehensive repairs.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficiency, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians and participate in ASE testing and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests and determine repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Provide mentorship to junior technicians.
• Other duties as required.

Transdev in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.

• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.

• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.

• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.

• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge

• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
