Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment.
  • Proficient in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks depending on community needs, and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
  • Reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests after hours.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.
  • Follow AIR’s process for completion of basic apartment turns to prepare for the next resident’s move-in experience.
  • Complete resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance (troubleshoot and repair/replace plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances).
  • May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians.
  • May assist with managing vendor quality and may perform move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset and community needs, mechanical systems, and season.

What You Will Do

What You Have
