Job description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term client's team at (1) of their properties in Aurora, CO. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in hands-on maintenance, strong organizational skills and someone that will lead by example. EPA 608 and CPO are highly preferred but not required. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Salary: $20-$24/hour DOQ. (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Weekly schedule: M-F 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Completes resident service request in a timely manner.
• Has knowledge of various maintenance functions including and not limited to plumbing, air conditioning, heating, general carpentry skills, appliance, electrical, painting, caulking, snow removal, scheduling, and life safety issues.
• Maintains grounds, pools/ hot tubs, common areas, and dog parks to keep them clean, free of trash, debris, and other safety issues.
• Performs on-call emergency procedures as required.
• Reports any maintenance issues that affect the budget such as life safety, vacant repairs, property damages, and common area needs to the manager.
• Schedules and perform preventative maintenance and records such activities.
• Is knowledgeable of state, local, and federal housing laws, codes, policies, and systems regarding maintenance.
• Provide superior customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of related experience within residential properties – unit turns, work orders, preventative maintenance - required.
• EPA and CPO are required.
• Hands-on working knowledge of typical apartment maintenance tasks is required.
• Associates must have valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass a Background Check before employment.
