Wingate is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our property management team in Bradenton, FL. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and strong character with a willingness to pitch in.

You’ll perform general maintenance, respond to resident requests, and support a safe, clean community for our residents. You should have basic maintenance skills, a patient and professional demeanor, and reliable transportation with your own tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years relevant work experience.
• Computer proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete general apartment and property maintenance, including basic plumbing and basic electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and work orders.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests with patience and professionalism.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every third week and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when scheduled.
• Help maintain the overall community, including trash removal, property cleanup, grounds support, and other general maintenance needs.
• Assist with cleanup and property needs following storms, hurricanes, and severe weather, including debris removal and helping the team restore order.

Pay: $21–$22 per hour, based on experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete general apartment and property maintenance, including basic plumbing and basic electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and work orders
• Respond to resident maintenance requests with patience, professionalism, and a customer-service mindset.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every third week and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when scheduled.
• Help maintain the overall community, including trash removal, property cleanup, grounds support, and other general maintenance needs.
• Assist with cleanup and property needs following storms, hurricanes, and severe weather, including picking up debris and helping the team get the community back in order.
• Pitch in wherever needed and work closely with the property management and maintenance teams to provide a safe, clean, and well-maintained community for our residents.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, general repairs, and property maintenance is needed. Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience is a plus, but we’re also open to candidates with transferable maintenance or handyman experience. You must have reliable transportation and your own basic tools and be able to participate in the every-third-week on-call rotation.
