Job summary

Jesuit High School is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for the afternoon shift (12:00pm–8:30pm) to perform general maintenance and repairs across the campus.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on handyman skills in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and drywall, plus the ability to work independently and safely. Commercial HVAC experience is preferred; candidates with HVAC skills may assist with routine inspections and system maintenance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facility maintenance or handyman work.
• Strong general repair and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read instructions and follow maintenance procedures.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license preferred/required as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building and facility maintenance and repairs.
• Complete handyman tasks including carpentry, drywall, painting, patching, and hardware installation.
• Perform light plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, drains, valves).
• Perform light electrical work (switches, outlets, fixtures).
• Troubleshoot doors, locks, cabinets, and furniture.
• Conduct routine inspections and respond to maintenance requests.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and inventory.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
