Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance on buildings and common areas. You will operate basic power tools, handle carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks, and assist in make-ready processes for units.
The role requires 1–2 years of maintenance experience and a HS diploma. Expect physical work, fielding service requests, and potential on-call duties across CMHA properties.
The Maintenance Technician, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for repairs and maintenance of physical structures managed by Touchstone. This position performs routine tasks related to the maintenance, repairs, and modifications of buildings, equipment, and common areas as requested. Operates and maintains approved power tools and light mechanical equipment. Performs basic painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing repair work of average difficulty in response to service requests and conducts inspections of apartments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to various weather elements, including assignments both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, there will be extensive standing, bending, walking, climbing, and crawling required. Finally, while performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
The candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence, and maintain an insurable driving record under the terms and conditions of the CMHA auto liability policy. The candidate may have no more than 6 accumulated points in 3 consecutive years.
