Job summary

M.S. Ambrogio North America seeks a Maintenance Technician at our Auburn, Maine facility to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring safe, timely operation.

This role requires a Master Electricians License, an Electrical/Mechanical associate degree (or 6 years’ equivalent), and Boiler Operator certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months. Weekend coverage is on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

  • Electrical or Mechanical associate’s degree or 6 years’ equivalent experience.
  • Boiler Operator Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Three years in maintenance B role or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Dismantle machines and access defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance: drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals.
  • Repair machinery using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Assemble or repair wiring, plumbing, or machinery components.
  • Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Troubleshoot electronic equipment & CNC controls.
  • Maintain numerical and written records.
  • Provide direction to other maintenance technicians.
  • Interface with all levels of staff and keep commitments.
  • Weekend coverage on a rotating basis.
  • Perform SAP transactions.

Role Summary/Purpose

The employee in this role will be required to perform each of the tasks below in a safe and timely manner.

  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment
  • Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting and repair
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment & CNC controls
  • Maintain numerical and written records
  • Provide direction for other, lower rated maintenance technicians
  • Interface with all levels of employees, and make and keep commitments regarding assigned unit
  • Weekend coverage is required on a rotating basis
  • Performs basic SAP transactions
Required
  • Master Electricians License
Basic Qualifications
  • Electrical or Mechanical associate’s degree or 6 years’ equivalent experience
  • Boiler Operator Certified or willing to obtain boiler license within 6 months of accepting position
  • Must have three years in maintenance B role or equivalent experience

Rate of Pay: $35 - $60 per hour

Hours: 6:30am - 2:30pm
