Job summary

thyssenkrupp Aerospace in Auburn, WA, is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. The role operates 9:30 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, with a safety-sensitive designation and pre-employment drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, record-keeping, and supervising contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude
• 3-5 years experience in an industrial maintenance environment
• College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs
• Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility
• Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
• Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services
• Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
