Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an entry-level maintenance technician to support preventive and demand maintenance activities, while learning from Senior technicians across multiple crafts. You will work within a GMP environment, following safety regulations and company standards.

The role includes hands-on training, blueprint reading, and basic window-based computer tasks to document activities and support maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or relevant certificate; technical school in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills with MS Windows.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics.

Job Description

This a B1 Shift 7am-7:30pm Thursday/Friday/Saturday & every other Wednesday

This position is an entry level maintenance position. This role will serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their current skill set while supporting Senior technicians with more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie’s Code of Business Conduct
  Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.
• Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

Preferred:

• 6 months of experience with maintenance activities andMechanical or electrical aptitude Highly Desirable
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic drawings Highly Desirable
• Some experience with preventative maintenance and demand maintenance Highly Desirable
