Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Waco, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve high-speed process and packaging equipment. The role emphasizes hands-on electrical troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude, including up to 480V 3-phase power.

You will operate with minimal supervision, prioritize uptime, and support continuous improvement in a safe, structured manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical degree preferred.
Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues on process and packaging equipment.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on AC/DC systems including 24VDC control circuits and 480V 3-phase systems.
Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings; execute preventive and predictive maintenance.
Support equipment startups, stabilize equipment, and train operators in basic autonomous maintenance.
Identify root causes and participate in breakdown analysis and continuous improvement; document work in CMMS (SAP Plant Maintenance).
