Job summary

Atlas Tube in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe repair and rebuild of tube mill production equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, read blueprints and schematics, and perform preventive maintenance on 3rd shift.

The role emphasizes safety protocols and continuous improvement. Requires 5+ years in heavy manufacturing, strong electrical aptitude, and ability to operate tools and forklifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship or journeyman training preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical systems in heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics; familiarity with PLCs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment following safety procedures.
• Verify guards and safety devices are installed and functional before operation.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with parts procurement.
• Use CMMS/PM systems to track, inspect, and report equipment status.
• Read blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and quality issues; escalate as needed.
• Perform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeovers.
• Identify safety, quality, and operational issues and report them.
