Job summary

Aerotek in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing team to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to keep production equipment reliable and safe.

The role requires PLC troubleshooting, reading schematics, and following OSHA safety procedures. This contract-to-hire position offers onsite work on 2nd/3rd shifts with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with 3-phase, 480-volt systems preferred.
• Licensed Electrician credential is advantageous.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance, testing, and repairs on mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues using electrical and mechanical theories.
• Read schematics and interpret technical documentation; use PLC troubleshooting methods.
• Install, start up, and shut down equipment following OSHA safety procedures.
• Advise operators on safe operating procedures and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records for production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Work independently or as part of a team and support off-shift maintenance as needed.
