Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for effectively performing all duties of the Maintenance Mechanic Department in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical systems to the component level.
  • Understand and repair industrial electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment required to meet production needs.
  • Install, service, and repair electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and related equipment using various tools.
  • Move and replace machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Fabricate and assemble test parts as needed.
  • Replace fuses, light bulbs, and other electrical components following specifications.
  • Disassemble and reassemble slicing and packaging equipment.
  • Assist in training and resolve problems with innovative solutions.
  • Work safely on plant facilities of various forms.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Prepare written reports on projects and equipment conditions.
