Maintenance Technician, 3rd Shift (10pm-6:30am) - Up to $50.00/hour

Join us as a Maintenance Technician, 3rd Shift (10pm-6:30am) at C.H. Guenther & Son.

This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities within a food production environment. It requires technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

Pay Range

• $38.65 to $50.00/hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safety and Food Safety: Perform all tasks in accordance with safety and food safety standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on production machinery and refrigeration systems.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization, and monitor repairs of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols, participate in safety training, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SQF, GMP, HACCP, OSHA.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with production teams, communicate effectively, and provide technical training as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
• At least 5 years of related experience in an industrial food manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC programming and control systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform electrical repairs on PLCs, relays, and motors.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, vibration, and weather elements.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate industrial equipment.
