Job summary

Suja Life is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep plant equipment at peak efficiency and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.

The role requires knowledge of electrical systems, reading schematics, and preventive maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety and log keeping in a maintenance system. Expect a night schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two years of documented experience in industrial equipment maintenance or vocational training plus 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Ability and knowledge to move/lift machinery using hoisting equipment, rollers and trucks.
• Electrical knowledge and skill in troubleshooting motors and control circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and physics.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write and communicate in English. Spanish is a plus.
• Welding experience is a plus.

• Pay or shift range: $28 USD to $32 USD. The salary range listed is the expected pay range for this position. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by applicable law.

Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician's primary purpose is to maintain plant equipment at optimum efficiency. Employees will be required to use their troubleshooting skills and experience to resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic (etc.), problems that may occur.

Schedule

• 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Two years of documented experience in industrial equipment maintenance or vocational training plus 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Ability and knowledge to move/lift machinery using hoisting equipment, rollers and trucks.
• Ability and knowledge to properly use tools and equipment such as drill presses, bench grinders, portable power and hand tools.
• Electrical knowledge and skill in troubleshooting motors and control circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Must have good problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and physics.
• Preventive/Predictive knowledge and experience.
• Must have required basic hand tools.
• Welding a plus.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write and communicate in English. Spanish is a plus.
• PLC experience is a plus

Working and Environmental Conditions

Work performed in a wet, refrigerated manufacturing facility with temperatures below 40°F, with occasional tasks in dry warehouses (up to 85°F) or freezer environments (as low as -10°F).

Exposure to noisy environments exceeding 85 dBA.

Work areas may be tight; continuous PPE use (safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed shoes) is required.

Must be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and safely.

May require forklift certification and operation, including maintenance and inspections.

Physical Demands

Stand and walk for entire shift.

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. continuously; push/pull up to 100 lbs. continuously.

Navigate manufacturing environments including bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, stooping, squatting, twisting, climbing ladders/stairs, and working at heights.

Regular use of hands for grasping and controlling objects and/or tools.

Occasional desk work requiring computer use.

Exposure to moving machinery.

Must pass a fit-for-duty physical exam.
