Qualifications

Job Overview

This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. We are a growing manufacturer of high-quality flexible packaging. As a result of our continued growth, we need a technician with experience in installation, maintenance and repair of automation and controls systems in industrial equipment. Knowledge of PLCs, automation/controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment is essential.

Duties

Includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to determine the root cause of problems and implement effective repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and maximize overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including equipment repair history, parts used, and work performed.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with PLCs, motors, drives, and other electrical components.
  • Install, align, and adjust equipment and machinery as needed to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality in the maintenance department.

Required Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty accurately and in time to meet company’s target deadlines. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, test equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Understanding of PLCs and other control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.

Hours
Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00 - $26.00 an hour + $2.00 shift differential.
