Job Overview

This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. As a flexographic printer Classic Packaging relies on our presses to make sure the highest quality images appear on the packaging that we produce. A critical aspect of this is ensuring that our presses are properly inked, and colors are matched precisely. Successful employees will be charged with mixing, matching, and maintaining inks (solvent-based) for two wide-web presses during assigned shift. Will be expected to match inks ("green light") prior to hitting press using ink dispenser, color standards, X-Rite color matching system, Zahn cups and Harper anilox draw-down rollers. Work with shift supervisors and press operators to ensure high-quality, efficient press runs.

Duties

Includes, but not limited to the following:

• Maintain acceptable production levels and quality of product while operating machine in the safest manner possible.
• Must check all the machines’ safety functions at the beginning of their shift to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
• Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
• All paperwork and computer entries must be complete and accurate.
• You must stay in your work area, and it must be clean and orderly.
• Advise supervisor of any needs or suggestions.
• Mixing and matching inks.
• Flexographic Press.
• Ink inventory management.
• Supplying presses with proper inks.
• Comply with all safety requirements, including wearing PPE.
• Safely operate variety of material moving equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

Work Schedule: 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:00am
D-Shift: 7PM-7AM (12-Hour rotating shifts, 3 days/4days a week) plus $2.00 shift differential pay.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 -$18.00 per hour + $2.00 for the shift differential
