The Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift maintains the working condition of plant facilities and production equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. You perform scheduled preventive maintenance, complete repairs and adjustments reported by plant operators, and respond quickly to electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic breakdowns during your assigned shift. You work closely with operations and leadership to ensure equipment reliability, support continuous production, and uphold safety, SQF, and GMP standards.

This role is based in an industrial food and beverage manufacturing facility that is mostly climate controlled and kept clean due to the nature of the products. You work full time on an 8‑hour 3rd shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, with rotating Saturday work and flexibility required as job duties demand. Initial training occurs on 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for approximately one to two weeks. The environment includes frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise levels, and you regularly work around production machinery and plant utilities. You use a variety of tools and technologies, including electrical systems at 480 VAC and 24 VDC, VFDs, servo drives and motors, PLCs, communication networks (ASI‑bus, CAN‑bus, Profi‑bus, Ethernet), pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding equipment (when applicable), and MS Office and other windows‑based computer systems. Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to meet safety, SQF, and GMP standards while performing all duties.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
