Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Menominee, Michigan is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the weekend shift. You will perform maintenance on facilities, equipment and systems, troubleshoot issues and conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires reading complex drawings, mathematics, and mechanical skills. You will work with a team, follow safety procedures, and may take on overtime hours as needed to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient at advanced shop mathematics.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, charts and tables.
• Knowledge of mechanical methods and procedures; good problem solving.
• Must be able to lift 25–35 pounds for a portion of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities, equipment, systems and machines including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and records of equipment and safety hazards.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs or adjustments to keep equipment in production.
• Instruct and train teammates on work methods and safety procedures.
