Job summary

Nestlé Hartwell, located in Hartwell, Georgia, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the factory team. This role focuses on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, planned maintenance, and using SAP for work order management, with a sign-on bonus of $3,000.

Night shifts start after training with a seniority-based bid system. You will work with motors, PLCs, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding, and bearing replacement, supporting safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent and 1+ years' industrialmaintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment.
• A two-year technical degree completed.

Responsibilities

• Follow plant safety rules and work rules.
• Execute Planned Maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations.
• Create, revise, and improve parts kits working with Planner to build part kits into SAP.
• Work to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis.
• Provide on-shift electrical and mechanical troubleshooting support to identify and repair technical breakdowns.
• Support a positive and collaborative culture with the expectation that Zero Safety Incidents, Zero Quality Defects, and Zero Preventable Stoppages.
• Utilize SAP to log maintenance information including work time, parts issuing, failure logs, and work order notes.
• Work safely in environments with heat/cold, raw materials, ladders/heights.

Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory measures an impressive 500,000 square feet. It represents our most versatile facility to date, enabling us to switch product lines with greater speed and efficiency. Following the training period, all Maintenance Technicians are initially assigned to night shift and participate in a periodic, seniority-based shift bid.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will contribute to a collaborative, cross-functional team. You will utilize a variety of skillsets including but not limited to electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (motors, PLCs, conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical wiring, welding, bearing replacement, and more). You will train on new equipment and aid in the execution of both planned maintenance and predictive maintenance activities.

• Work safely and effectively in an environment where you may experience hot or cold temperatures, work with raw materials used to make pet food, and work involving ladders, stairs, or heights.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent and 1+ years' industrialmaintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment.

OR

• A two-year technical degree completed.

Other

• Must be open to all shifts including nights and weekends.

The approximate hourly pay range for this position is $33.83 - $38.51 per hour. The pay progression plan follows: Maintenance Technician D $33.83, Maintenance Technician C $35.00, Maintenance Technician B $36.17, Maintenance Technician A $38.51

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
