Nestlé Purina is hiring a Maintenance Technician at our Batavia, OH facility. You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot production equipment, and coordinate with production and engineering to implement efficient, safe solutions.

The role shifts from day shift to a 4,10-hour day schedule during training, then to nights on a 2-2-3 schedule. Competitive pay, bonuses, benefits, and a 401(k) match are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex mechanical equipment in industrial settings.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools to resolve issues safely.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair and optimize production equipment. Day to day, you will coordinate with production, engineering and other maintenance personnel to conduct planned and predictive maintenance, solve problems and implement solutions quickly and safely to keep factory assets operating efficiently.

During training and orientation, this position will initially work Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and then transition into working 4, 10-hour days.Once training and orientation are completed, theshift will transition to nights (6 p.m.-6 a.m.), operating on a 2-2-3 scheduleformat (week one: two days on, two days off, three days on; week two: two days off, two days on, three days off).

The starting pay for this position is $37.50/hr. with a strategic Maintenance Progression Plan that provides for increasing wages up to $41.78/hr., based on knowledge/skill demonstration, technical assessments and performance reviews. • Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems
• Model safety and share mechanical and electrical expertise to train other team members and champion a safety-first work environment
• Execute Planned Maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and equipment including motors, conveyors, bearings, gears, sprockets, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation systems
• Work to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis
• Utilize mechanical and electrical tools, diagnostic instruments (meters), mechanical diagrams and schematics, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other digital tools to work safely and efficiently
• Perform basic rigging, mechanical practicesand welding skills in an industrial environment

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex mechanical equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, military or related environment

OTHER

• Must be willing to work 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule

Pay: $37.50 per hour
