Job summary

Woodward Camp in PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to support camper experiences by maintaining facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include painting, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks, equipment upkeep, and safety inspections on campus assets.

You will manage a crew, assist with guest requests, and help keep Woodward’s facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in general maintenance techniques.
• OSHA certified on applicable equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Proficient in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate power-driven street equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment (Skid Steer, Lawn Tractors).
• Operate vehicles including pickup trucks and Kubota Side by Side and trailer.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
• Load, unload, transport parts and materials.
• Perform painting and groundskeeping duties.
• Respond to emergency calls.
• Perform seal coating and patch work on concrete/asphalt."

JOB SUMMARY

A Maintenance Technician 3 at Woodward Camp is an integral part of the camper’s experience. They will be part of the maintenance staff, maintaining records, keeping Woodward’s renowned facilities operating at a high level. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks across the property ensuring the campus remains clean,safe,functional, and welcoming for our guests.These vital tasks may include landscaping, cleaning, removing trash, and performing maintenance on a wide array of features at our facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate power driven street equipment
• Operate heavy equipment (Skid Steer, Lawn Tractors)
• Operate vehicles including: pick-up trucks and Kubota Side by Side and trailer
• Clean, maintain tools and mechanical equipment
• Load, unload, transport parts, materials and equipment
• Pick up trash
• Respond to emergency calls
• Perform painting duties, sand, caulk, prime and paint
• Perform groundskeeping tasks such as: weed eating, mowing grass, and landscaping
• Operate a pressure washer
• Perform snow removal
• Assist with equipment repair
• Perform an array of plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
• Repair vandalism
• Operate spray units
• Put up and remove seasonal awnings
• Repair and patch concrete and asphalt around campus
• Perform seal coating on asphalt roadways
• Apply concrete sealant
• Manage projects and a crew
• Put on ramp stickers around campus
• Install and repair or replace light fixtures, ballasts, switches, and outlets
• Operate small hand and power tools
• Operate a variety of air tools
• Assume custodian’s duties
• Assist with guest requests and needs in a timely manner
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety facility inspections
• Other duties asassigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ of years' experience in general maintenance techniques
• Valid driver's license
• OSHA certified on applicable equipment
• Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces
• Well versed in electric, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and fleet maintenance
• Provide work related references upon request.
• Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by positionand federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting

PRE-REQUISITES

Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work:

• Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
• Safesport Training Certificate

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.
• Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
• Primary on-site work location: Woodward, PA
