Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia is seeking a full-time Maintenance Tech for the 12pm-8:30pm shift to perform routine and specific maintenance on facilities and equipment. The role requires working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical repairs, with responsibilities including preventive maintenance, safety and emergency equipment checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations preferred.
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment.
• Act as back-up for on-call during emergencies.
• Handle all equipment safely and use tools properly.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete reports.
• Inspect emergency power equipment and weekly generator tests.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm system and extinguishers.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing; repair furniture as needed.
