Job description

Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform various facilities maintenance activities.

This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” by thyssenkrupp under applicable laws in the state of Washington. Job Description

Available Schedules:

  • 12:15pm – 8:45pm MON-FRI

Key Accountabilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs
  • Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility
  • Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
  • Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services
  • Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • This is a Safety Sensitive role, the company is dedicated to the safety of all employees, and we are looking for candidates that are safety oriented to join our team.
  • Strong mechanical skills and willingness to learn and grow in technical areas
  • 1-2 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment
  • College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read and basic understanding of blueprints and shop drawings

Nice to haves:

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Experience with automotive repair or car maintenance
  • Knowledge of vehicle engines and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools used in car maintenance

Job Compensation

Pay: $29.30 - $38.30 per hour
