Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center. The role involves maintaining and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, PLCs, and hydraulics to ensure safe, reliable operations in a fast-paced DC environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, an associate degree in a mechanical/electrical field, and strong safety awareness. Position offers shift-based hours with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or technical certificate preferred in mechanical or electrical field.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in maintenance or industrial tech.
  • Read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiar with DC-specific software and asset tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of LOTO, safety procedures and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems.
  • Follow PM standards; document work in asset management system.
  • Report spare parts usage and assist in inventory control.
  • Train junior technicians to improve performance and skills.
  • Coordinate with vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
  • Perform other duties to support DC operations as needed.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30aRate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
  • Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
  • Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
  • Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
  • Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate‘s Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Welding, burning, cutting
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
  • Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
  • Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
  • Good safety awareness
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job ‘S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements.
