DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Distribution Center. The role covers maintenance and repair of facility equipment and conveyance systems, with emphasis on PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical drawings.

Shift 2B runs Tuesday through Friday, 5:30p–3:30a, at a rate of $29.55/hr plus $1/hr shift diff. Applicants should have 3–5 years of experience, an associate degree or technical certificate, and familiarity with DC software packages.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Welding, cutting, and related fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, PLCs.
• Familiar with DC-specific software and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a
Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift diff

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manner.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree – 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

TARGETED PAY RANGE

$29.55 - $42.90 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
