Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Distribution Center in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility and conveyance systems, with emphasis on PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical/mechanical drawings.

Shifts are Tuesday to Friday, 5:30p-3:30a, with a rate of 29.55 per hour plus a 1 per hour shift differential. Safety training and OSHA guidelines apply as you support operations and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical training.
  • 2 year vocational/technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience in industrial setting.
  • Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
  • Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and LOTO practices.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; document work.
  • Report spare parts usage to maintenance leadership.
  • Train junior technicians to improve performance.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to complete DC projects.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
  • Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
  • Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
  • Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
  • Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s Degree
  • 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Welding, burning, cutting
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
  • Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
  • Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
  • Good safety awareness
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
