Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2:00pm–10:15pm) in Rocky Mount, NC. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment to support site goals, with training on 1st shift for 8–12 weeks.

The candidate should have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, electromechanical, hydraulics, or welding, and be able to read blueprints, operate tools, and work with minimum supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Trade School or Associates Degree in maintenance or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, electromechanical, hydraulics and/or welding systems.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a continuous operating manufacturing environment.
• Experience in or ability to learn PLC.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints; ability to use hand and power tools in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems and determine replacement or repair; make estimates based on blueprint study; follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and minimal technical guidance.
• Previous forklift experience and ability to complete Hubbell Forklift training.
• Compliance with OSHA Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to work at heights up to approximately 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Providing scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service, and emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Performing routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment.
• Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, and testing and adjusting.
• Dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals, work orders, diagrams and blueprints to perform the required maintenance service.
• Working with the engineering department and Mold Shop on special projects as needed.
• Assist with mold set-up when required.
• Practicing and promoting safety at all times.
• Working with fellow maintenance employees to assist on larger task, repairs and/or projects.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

We are looking for a minimum level II Maintenance Technicianthat has experience with industrial maintenance in a production environment.

This position will be a 2nd Shift position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:15pm and overtime as needed on weekends. On-call as needed.

***Training will be REQUIRED on 1st shift for an average of 8-12 weeks***
