Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift at our Palestine, Texas plant. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs of hydraulic/pneumatic and conveyor systems, and aims to minimize downtime. On-the-job training is provided and benefits begin day one.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts and other tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Identify root cause of unexpected breakdowns and repair quickly to decrease downtime.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts; order and install replacement parts as needed.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and maintain shop areas, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
• Collaborate with department heads on new products and modifications.
• Make modifications and conduct test runs; discuss test results with product manager and adjust as needed.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in solution implementation.
• Wear PPE in all areas where mandated.
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.

## Maintenance Technician-2nd ShiftApply: Texas - Palestine Plant: Full time: Posted Yesterday: 2026-68343**SHIFT DETAILS:*** **Monday-Friday 4:00pm-1:00am (Rotating Weekends)*** **Pay Rate-$27.35*** **Benefits available Day One*** **On the job training****PRIMARY FUNCTION:** The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).**RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:*** Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts machinery as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working condition* Identify root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime for machine* Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, ordering and installing replacement parts for machines as needed* Prepare reports documenting work performed.* Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies as needed* Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.* Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required* Make necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required* Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation* Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culture* Perform additional relevant duties as assigned**SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:*** None.
