Qualifications

• Good computer literacy and ability to log work records.

Responsibilities

## Maintenance Technician-2nd ShiftApplylocations: Texas - Palestine Planttime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 2026-66482**SHIFT DETAILS:*** **Monday-Friday 7:00pm-7:00am(Rotating Weekends)*** **Pay Rate-$27.35*** **Benefits available Day One*** **On the job training*** **Referral Bonus****PRIMARY FUNCTION:** The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).**RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:*** Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts machinery as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working condition* Identify root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime for machine* Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, ordering and installing replacement parts for machines as needed* Prepare reports documenting work performed.* Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies as needed* Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.* Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required* Make necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required* Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation* Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culture* Perform additional relevant duties as assigned**SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:*** None. This is an individual contributor role with required competencies: Functional/Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, and Interpersonal Savvy**EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:*** High School diploma or equivalent* Vocational certificate in appropriate field (i.e. welding, maintenance, electrical, etc.) preferred* Ability to take and pass internal required testing**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:*** Mechanically inclined with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment* Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, etc. to diagnose problems with manufacturing equipment* Good computer literacy with ability to enter work records in appropriate program* Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferred* Ability to handle and resolve most issues in an efficient and effective manner* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, planning skills, and a high attention to detail* Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency**SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:*** Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs* Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*** Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend and/or extended) as business need requires* Ability to work in cold/ humid or hot/ dusty environments as needed* Prolonged periods of standing, walking, crawling, stooping, kneeling, etc. with ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery* Must be able to visually inspect machines* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
